Laura Szanto_May 15, 2023_65_edited.jpg

Growing up in the Austrian Alps, skiing runs in Flora’s DNA. Already her paternal grandmother adventured out ski touring. Her maternal grandmother started practicing yoga in the sixties. Inspired by her passing, Flora attended her first yoga class in Lao a decade ago. The practice of yoga became her most treasured resource in intense times of grief, loss and transformation, and inspired her to successfully complete yoga teacher trainings in Mysore, India, and Cape Town, South Africa, and dive deeply into the world of nervous system healing. She has guided thousands of people, on three continents, in three languages into their aliveness. Her career in corporate law enables her to bridge worlds. The practice and teachings of yoga are her motivation to constantly inquire and improve.

In Flora's yoga classes you are guided into your aliveness with vinyasa flows from powerful to gentle. You will be inspired to move with the waves of your breath. You will feel more stability and strength in body and spirit. Her years of trainings and experiences enable Flora to hold brave space for every body and all levels. Besides vinyasa, she loves sharing restorative, nourishing yin classes. She teaches in English, French and German.

In addition to teaching Yoga, Flora is offering nourishing, restoring Thai Yoga Massage
(Nuad Thai), where you simply receive. In a holistic bodywork session, Flora works on your
muscles, bones, fascia and energy lines. You receive comfortably dressed on mats on the
ground. You feel the aliveness of a yoga practice and don’t even have to move! Some of the benefits can be improved relaxation, sleep, digestion, pain relief, and many more.

JANE OSBORNE

Principal Pilates Expert

A Brit by birth, Jane grew up just outside Toronto, then spent 20years in Vancouver before moving to Revelstoke in 2021. She has been in a long-term relationship with Pilates for over 15years, leading to the completion of two comprehensive certifications, one from PhysicalMind, which was more contemporary, and a Classical approach through Pilates from the Center, along with an additional certification in pre/post-natal Pilates. As a professional dancer for over a decade, Jane always depended on Pilates to keep things feeling as balanced as possible in her body. When injury signaled the end of that career a few years ago, Jane took a deep dive into not only her Pilates practice, but into how other movement modalities could support the body to unwind and then repattern long-standing movement strategies. She has since completed additional training and workshops in Yamuna Body Rolling, Franklin Method, Pilates for Rehabilitation, and Anatomy Trains, and is a certified level 1 Hypopressives teacher. During her last year on the coast Jane worked as a physio assistant at a pelvic health clinic and this experience further ignited her passion and curiosity to learn more about pre- and post-natal support and education, Pilates for rehabilitation, the interconnectedness of the body through the nervous system and fascia, and the importance of a trauma-informed practice in healthcare. These topics are where Jane is directing her further learning endeavours.

As a teacher Jane loves to get specific and dive into the details. She believes if you have a strong understanding of the foundations of your support systems, that from there you can push, play, explore and challenge yourself in all aspects of your life. She believes in leaning into the pleasure of hard work (but not tension), staying curious, and accepting what is available today. In her classes she tends to talk a lot, gets pretty excited and while she might sound a bit bossy (once a dance teacher always a dance teacher), she will encourage you to take care of your needs inside the experience so that you leave having had the workout your body and mind wanted that day.
